My name is Xav (short for Xavier) and I'm a French artist and photographer living in the UK for over 20 years. I grew up in France until the age of 18, and attended art school in Paris, before living for a new life in England, on the Essex coast where I have lived ever since.

With my camera constantly with me, I enjoy taking photographs of a

diversity of subjects, including quirky and gritty shots, but the most

interesting topic of all remains people. During my 20+ years of

photography experience, I have also worked with large

institutions such as Greene King, Oceana, the Wildlife Trust

Nokia and the Mercury Theatre.

As well as my passion for photography, I also produce

unique digital artwork, which I often like to be thought-

provoking or at least creates some interest using vibrant

colours, striking designs and or relevant themes. My work,

as an artist, such as the Then&Now series has received

nationwide coverage via national newspapers and the BBC.
